About Us

The Northwest Illinois Families with Children from China
group has been formed to provide cultural, educational, and
informational resources and activities for families who have
adopted or are adopting children from the Peoples Republic
of China. We intend to create a network of support and be
a nurturing community for adoptive families and prospective
parents, and to celebrate our children's cultural heritage.
We also hope to educate others about international adoption
and trans-racial families, and will promote the welfare of
children remaining in China's orphanages.
Northwest Illinois FCC welcomes families who live outside
of Chicago and the suburbs, where there already is a chapter
of FCC. Our meetings are held monthly in Rockford, and we
are planning several special events already. Family membership
is $30 per year. For more information on becoming a member
